Increasing Growth Hormone Levels

Posted on May 20, 2011

I want to share with everyone another option for increasing growth hormone levels. Many of my patient have low growth hormone levels (a condition known as Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency) and benefit from incgrowth hormone being low and about options for raising or replacing it. Many people want the benefit of growth hormone without the expense ($300-600/month) or the commitment. There is a bio-identical growth hormone RELEASING hormone called Sermorelin available by prescription only. Sermorelin is identical to the hormone your brain naturally makes to increase pituitary gland production of growth hormone; thus it enhances your own production of this important hormone. The beauty of working with the system this way is that there is no negative feedback, so you can cycle on and off without any negative consequences. As you can tell, I’m pretty excited to have this option available for my patients! Let me know if you are interested in talking about adding this to your regimen. Benefits of growth hormone are improved sleep, increased energy, increased lean muscle mass, decreased body fat, increased skin tone, improved tissue repair and exercise recovery, and increased sociability and overall quality of life. Growth hormone has been used in older people to treat and prevent sarcopenia (loss of muscle mass), osteoporosis, and frailty syndrome. Because of these benefits, older people on growth hormone are less likely to be hospitalized and are less likely to enter nursing homes.
