What is Fraxis?: Similar to the Claro CO2 laser facial, but lighter with less downtime. The Fraxis laser works when fractional carbon dioxide laser beams penetrate the surface layers of the skin and into the inner dermis. The energy produced by this laser creates microscopic areas of thermal damage that stimulate new collagen production and create new epidermal cells to smooth and correct skin appearance and texture.
What is Fraxis used to treat?: Faxis C02 laser can be used to treat many of the same skin conditions that our laser Claro treatment but with less downtime! The Fraxis CO2 laser facial can build collagen, smooth fine lines and rough texture, correct scarring and clear away brown spots for a visibly brighter, fresher look.

What is MicroTightening with RF?: Your one stop shop for skin tightening, wrinkle smoothing, pore shrinking, scar fading, and stretch-mark erasing. This cutting edge device penetrates skin to deliver radio-frequency heat to tighten and smooth your skin.
How does MicroTightening with RF work?: Microneedling uses a fine needle to create microwounds withi the outer dermal layers of the skin. This stimulates the production of capillaries, elastin, and collagen. During treatment, the microneedles release radiofrequency into the channels, causing additional damage. This enhances the effects of standard microneedling increasing stimulation, helping the skin that grows back is thicker and smoother.

What is IPL?: IPL or Intense Pulse Light laser sends pulses of multiple waves of light to penetrate the dermal layers of the treatment area the energy is then absorbed into particular target cells with color. That energy turns into heat and damages the cells in a targeted area, thus encouraging rapid cell growth and overturn, resulting in more even skin tone and texture.
What is IPL used to treat?: IPL or Intense Pulse Light laser treatment is the gold standard for color correction treatments used to target photoaging due to sun exposure. IPL can also be used to treat: acne, birthmarks, stretch marks, liver or age spots, broken blood vessels or spider veins, freckles, scars, hormonal dark spots and fine lines.

What is Excel-V?: excel V is the most advanced aesthetic technology that PowerMD has to offer. What to expect during recovery?
What to expect during recovery?This isn’t any recovery where the patient needs to stay in bed or miss work or something like that. Following these procedures, the skin is usually red; it’s as if the patient has a mild sunburn. This can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days depending on the strength of the laser chosen for treatment. These are easy-to- tolerate treatments whose results build as the body increases collagen production as a response to the laser energy.
One thing that is true with any of these procedures is that your skin needs to be protected from sun exposure for a period of at least two weeks afterward. This is because the laser or IPL energy can break down some of the skin’s natural protection against the sun’s UV radiation. Applying 30+ SPF sunscreen or wearing protective clothing is necessary for a couple of weeks.
